Samarkand Global's Managing Director International, Ava Liu, was honoured to receive an invitation to speak on behalf of Samarkand Global at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing which took place between 2-6 Sept.
CIFTIS is “the globe’s largest comprehensive fair for trade in services”, with over 1.4M participants in 2022. The UK was country of honour at this year’s event and the UK pavillion was impressive to behold with a replica of Tower Bridge.
This is a major exhibition platform for China's opening-up and is a hugely important event at a national level. In terms of cross-border eCommerce, the fair provided an excellent display platform for UK technology service enterprises and we were pleased to share insights make new connections.
Attendees included diplomats and high-raking officials from around the world and we were honoured to meet with Rupert Daniels, Director, Services and Skills at Department for Business and Trade and many others.
